"Where the history is rich, the menu is refined and quirky"
The hidden treasure of the Haarlemmerstraat. Restaurant and bar KLUIS opened in the old Amsterdam bank building from the 1920s – on the edge of the Jordaan neighbourhood. The rich history of the bank is also kept inside. The hall, with original Art Deco tiles, leads to the large elongated bar. This time it is the G&T’s instead of money that is provided from behind the iron fences. The restaurant overlooks the courtyard through immense windows. The brick walls, large plants and leather sofas give some refined New York allure.
Where the history is rich, the menu is sophisticated and quirky. The chef and his team show worldly skills in an all-day (7 days a week) breakfast, lunch and dinner menu full of international classics. The breakfast and lunch menu (comfort food) will take you on a world trip where recognizable dishes get a refined twist. During dinner, a changing tasting menu of 3 to 6 courses is served in combination with elegant wines. Fine dining, but accessible.
Restaurant Kluis is closed at the moment. It is not possible to make a reservation.
